Beyond Paris: Carbon Co-op AGM 2016 videos

These videos show the presentations made at the Carbon Co-op AGM in April 2016. The theme for the presentations was about the 2015 Paris Climate Change talks and how these broader, global targets relate to the work of local Community Energy organisations like Carbon Co-op carry out.

Climate scientist Kevin Anderson of Tyndall Centre discusses the Paris climate reduction emission targets, how small projects can have big impacts and the role of Leonardo Di Caprio!

 

Architect Marianne Heaslip of URBED discusses the learning from the Carbon Co-op's Community Green Deal retrofit project and the social, economic and political barriers that exist to the wider take up of retrofit in the UK.

 

Question and Answer session chaired by Jonathan Atkinson of Carbon Co-op with the two speakers and Carbon Co-op board member Rob Jones, discussing the green credentials of biomass, the role of pioneers in creating wider societal change and the relationship between fuel poverty and carbon reduction.
