Work Day at Andy's - A Day Out in a Sustainable Home
Andy has been making eco-home improvements for over 40 years. We will be helping Andy out with some practical tasks on his land, taking a tour of his home and will have time to ask questions and find out more. It will be a chance to learn, socialise and do practical work!
WHEN: Friday 4th Aug 2017, 9:30am – 5pm
WHERE: Meet point 9:20am Manchester Piccadilly train station, taxi ranks.
COST: FREE - We are charging a refundable deposit of £10.
Andy has taken a holistic approach to energy – not just fabric. Key features include air source heat pump, extensive insulation, and solar PV.

Practical work in the morning we will be followed by lunch and presentations by Andy in the afternoon. During his 38 years working on this project, Andy obtained an incredible amount of knowledge which he is more than ready to share with you!

Lunch will be provided.
The land work will include light and heavy gardening tasks.
If you’d like to bring children you are more than welcome, however, only if they are supervised by their parents/carers. We can’t take responsibility for children.
Wear practical clothes which you don’t mind getting dirty. Wear good shoes (boots if possible). Bring gardening gloves if you have them.
