Many thanks to everyone who made it along last Wednesday (26th September) to Manchester Town Hall for the launch of Carbon Co-op's DECC-funded Community Green Deal programme.

The event included presentations on whole house retrofit works, assessment methods and the way forward for Green Deal and included a discussion session from attendees on the barriers to take up of energy efficiency measures.

We need to cut the average amount of energy our homes use by 80% to deal with climate change and rising fuel bills.Carbon Coop have been having a look at the options and want to know what you think would work, what wouldn’t and why.

The Green Deal and Social Enterprise breakfast taster session

From Autumn 2012, the Green Deal will provide a mechanism to enable millions of homes in the UK to receive retrofit, insulation work with the cost of measures spread over a twenty five year period.
