Carbon Co-op Bus Tours

Carbon Co-op bus tours are a great way for people to better understand energy efficient eco-homes. Using the Red Double Decker Bus, we visit three homes, meeting householders and better understanding the work carried out.

Tours are free, typically lasting half a day and including lunch, we try and visit a range of homes and archetypes including SuperHomes, housing association and even private landlord properties.

They are a great was for people new to energy efficiency to understand exactly what’s involved and quiz householders on the approach they’ve taken, who carried out the work and how they found the process. The bus tours are also a great way for like-minded people to meet, discuss and chat about what they’ve seen and what they might do.

In the past we’ve had people come on tours interested in a few solar panels and end up commissioning whole house retrofits.

Tours are typically funded by local authorities or one off projects, we try and do two or three tours a year and they are always busy.
