DESCRIPTION:Lorenza and Paul are opening their home as a part of Carbon Co-op’s Green Open Homes Weekend\, 29th and 30th September 2018.\nThis home is unique in taking a staged approach to retrofit. Lorenza and Paul have balanced raising a young child and limited time and money\, with their desire to improve their home.\nWatch a short video about this home: https://vimeo.com/142238564\nEnergy efficiency measures installed:\n\nRoof fully insulated (2010)\nNew highly efficient Worcester combi boiler (installed 2009)\nCavity insulation with Manchester City Council scheme (2010)\nRigid Insulation behind external wall timber panelling\, front and back (2010)\nFSC insulated external doors (2014)\nFSC timber triple glazed windows\, tilt and turn (2014)\nConscious change and monitoring of occupants’ behaviour\n\nLorenza and Paul think you should visit their home because:\nOur home is a 1960s midterrace\, 2bed. We have been approaching and implementing a staged retrofit since 2009\, doing work when we have available funds.
