DESCRIPTION:——————————————————————————— \nWe’ve no scheduled presentations for this week\, so have decided to cancel this one and focus on our Xmas Special next month. We’ll have presentations (also streamed online) alongside a smart home swap shop and mince pies (in person). \n \nTopics will include: \n• Home energy monitoring. \n• House energy performance assessment \n• Sensors – electricity\, gas\, temperature\, humidity\, air quality… \n• User interfaces\, dashboards \n• Smart houses and automation \n• Aggregation of data sources \n• Taking the power back! – Making better use of the surplus power we generate \nWho is it for? \n• Anyone with skills in physical electronics\, web development or programming who wants to use that knowledge to reduce energy and carbon! \n• There will be open space for small groups to focus on adding new sensors or hacking the user interface\, there will always be a ‘newbies’ group for people interested in finding out more.
