Two weekends of open homes and bus tours around Greater Manchester showcasing a range of retrofit and energy efficiency improvements.
Over 25 householders showcased a range of improvements including external and internal wall insulation, solar panels, triple glazed windows and energy efficient heating systems. Over the course of four days, more than 300 people visted homes, meeting householders and understanding how they went about planning their improvements.
As well as householders throwing open their doors to visitiors, Carbon Co-op ran a series of bus tours calling in at specific properties and giving participants a chance to chat and exchange views on how they might go about adopting similar improvements.
As well as a range of existing properties we were able to showcase two of the properties involved in the Carbon Co-op Community Green Deal programme with works ongoing on the homes.
Action for Sustainable Living provided volunteers to householders, recruiting, training and managing them to ensure they provided knowledgeable support and advice.

We have recently received funding for another Open Homes Weekend on 18th/19th October.
