Join Carbon Co-op and the University of Manchester to celebrate the launch of our latest project Green Shift, part of the EU-wide Nobel Grid programme.
When: 4th November 2016 Where: Sackville Street Building, M1 3BB Time: 17:00 at Sackville Street Book: http://green-shift-launch.eventbrite.co.uk
Through Green Shift, Carbon Co-op will pilot new technologies with our members and communities across Greater Manchester to see how we can work together to shift our energy uses, balance our demand across the day and support the development of a low carbon grid. We’ll be looking at smart meteres, batteries, electric cars and community energy so come along to be part of the celebration and hear about the ways to get involved.
Funded via the EU Commission’s Horizon 2020 programme, Nobel Grid aims to have a ‘disruptive’ effect, challenging existing business models and work practices amongst energy suppliers, smart meter suppliers, grid actors and energy co-operatives.
To toast this occasion we’ll be giving a short talk on the project as part of the closing session of our one day conference ‘Hacking the Energy System’ from 17:15 – 17:45 before heading on to Bulls Head, near Piccadilly for drinks and chips.
