Scaling Solar & Battery Uptake Across Greater Manchester

Greater Manchester Combined Authority scores 100% in the 2025 Buildings & Heating section of Climate Emergency UK’s Action Scorecards.
With the latest government changes encouraging and providing funding for the use of solar and battery power, how can communities in Greater Manchester benefit from renewable energy and lower energy bills?
Building on the success of previous Scorecards in Action events by Climate Emergency UK, this event will explore how local policies and support can translate into actual uptake of solar and battery power for residents and community groups in Greater Manchester.
This event will share best-practice and connect residents and groups who want lower energy bills with organisations that can help them install solar and battery power. This event will focus on identifying the practical funding pathways and partnerships needed to accelerate rooftop solar and battery deployment across Greater Manchester.
